An excellent plant for both herb gardens and borders, anise hyssop grows 3-5’ tall and 1’ wide. The flowers are edible and delicious in salads, and the dried leaves make an excellent tea. Also highly attractive to many pollinators, especially bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Minimum 300mg per packet.
Tips:
- Plant seeds about 1⁄4” under the soil
- Can be direct sown outdoors or started indoors
- If starting indoors, start seeds 6-10 weeks before the last frost to have earlier blooms and get a head start
- When chance of frost has passed, plant outside roughly 12-15” apart

Seeds should be stored in a cool, dry, dark, place. Ideal long-term storage temperature is 4-10 degrees Celsius, or under 20 degrees Celsius for short-term storage.
